Work Completed (Sept. 7th-Feb25th)

Academics-

I have completed 205 credits of 220 in my time enrolled in high school, thus far. Almost all of the college requirements (aka the A to G requirements) have been met, excluding just a few. In schooling, my first aid requirement, career cruising requirement, and physical education requirements have also all been met through the past four year.

Employment-

In March of last year, I obtained my first job at McDonalds. After just one interview I was hired. In September, I applied for my second and current job, at Phil's BBQ. After four thorough interviews, I obtained the job and quit my previous job. I am currently excelling in all areas of the position I am in. 

Personal-

In eighth grade I moved from La Mesa, where I lived all my life, to Campo, a small town in the middle of nowhere. I attended a charter school for the first semester but unfortunately my family moved from Campo to Lakeside in my second semester and I finished out the year on homeschooling. Starting out sophomore year, I attended El Capitan once again only for the first semester, moving then to El Cajon, and finishing my second semester on a home choice program. Junior year began my first year at West Hills, and I have completed all of my Junior year as well as my first semester Senior year so far.

College-

For grants, I completed my FAFSA Application, and also applied for some smaller grants. I have completed an orientation at "got Plans" and also applied to both Grossmont and Cuyamaca Junior Colleges.

Work Underway

Academics-

In the current semester, I have 25 credits lined up to be obtained, of which also meet the last few requirements on the A to G scale. 

Employment-

I am currently scheduled to begin cross-training in both cashiering and bussing in just the next week. I am also taking part in an in-depth hostess training seminar, to better myself in my current position.

College-

A tour of Grossmont, Cuyamaca, and a few other junior colleges such as Palomar, and Mesa, have been set up to get a better feel of each campus and see which is best for helping me further on my journey.

To Be Completed

Academics-

 I will receive my high school diploma in June of this year.

Employment-

I will be seeking more opportunities to grow within this company after I complete all cross-training. After all goals have been met, and there is no room for growth, I will apply and obtain a more professional job in my desired field.

Personal-

I plan on buying a more fuel-efficient car, because in this economy, getting 8-11 miles to the gallon is just not doable. I also plan to move out on my own within the next few months to a year.

College-

Promoting from the JC I choose to SDSU or UCSM is ideal in my future. I plan to complete all four years of college and earn my masters in general education and become a elementary school teacher. I also plan to intern/substitute while enrolled in school.
