Subject: Menu Revision Recommendation
As requested, I have spoken to numerous guests on the past 3 Friday and Saturday nights regarding additions as well as subtractions that we should consider. I have chosen the following items to add to our menu based upon repetition of requests. I have also listed below, items that were requested but not as highly.
Recommendation
Based off of the information I have collected, I can surely recommend that we add the following to our menu: mac n cheese, cornbread, and peach cobbler. Fans of all ages have requested cornbread as well as a new dessert option, and parents said over and over how they would appreciate another alternative besides fries that children commonly like. A few other requests that were lesser recommended are sweet potato fries, chili, and fish. These were requested just to “broaden” our menu said the customers who replied with this.
Discussion
Calculations regarding prices and profits have been looked over by myself and Lisa (our hostess manager), and the products that were most recommended definitely would benefit our profit as a whole. Especially since we don’t necessarily have an actual child’s menu, mac n cheese has been the perfect price-to-profit ratio that we could add and would be a hit. Out of the lesser-recommended additions however, only chili seemed to be a reasonable asset to our menu. Any meat that falls of the bones while still on a sanitized workstation (which happens quite often) can be used in the chili, instead of discarding it. Over all, I believe we have quite the decision on our hands, and when it comes down to it, adding 4 new things would most definitely prove to help-not hurt- our company.
